I sit here and think, think of what we are, what we have become, these generations that populate this earth. The laziness that plagues my generation, the rudeness that amps up each and every day, we take what is handed to us on a silver platter. We can't even think to stop the crudeness of what comes out of our mouths when other kids are around. We were suposed to be the good generation, the advanced generation. Yeah, we are advanced, I bet no other generation is going to live as short as we will, or be as fat as us, or, you know, have so many people smoking whatever and drinking to their heart's content. The world will fall to shambles. All in a day for this generation.
I belong to it and I had lost hope for us and for the generations before us and the generations after us. I thought I would have to start the world over (jk, my best friend and I are going to take it over eventually anyway), but one day recently, a ray of hope shone through that bleak and dirty window. I was in a McDonalds and there were some teenagers and one of them swore and then one of the frineds said something like this,
"Man, don't do that, it's not cool."
Hello ray of HOPE, maybe the future won't be so bad, maybe we should just have more confidence. And I'm not sitting here saying that all teenagers are bad, some a little crazy but who isn't, I'm saying that with the attitude that is given off by a lot of us you can see why we aren't trusted, and this attitude is obviously very strong because one proud teenage (moi) has decided that it's time to stop. Stop playing xbox 360, stop going to McDonalds all the time, learn to say one sentence without any swearing, and hold the door open. Look at life by taking a step back.
*Again not all teenagers are bad people but I need to vent this because I've been thinking this for a long time.
You don't play xbox 360, so are you going to stop spending all your time in front of the tv and computer and do fun things outside instead?!?
ReplyDeleteDang Straight (almost swore there)
ReplyDeleteI heard the same thing in McDonalds. Maybe its just the atmosphere of greasy food that puts people in a bad mood. THERE IS ALWAYS somebody to turn them around though. And besides who wants to hear that all the time. And who doesnt like having someone hold the door open for them. LIKE REALLY I doing it cuz sometimes it makes the other person feel awquard and speechless, unless its old people and then its just "well arent you a gentlemen" Which is always nice.
